A battleship fills the left 3/4 of the cover. An explosion is shown at or behind it at left. It has two cylindrical turrets with smoke emitting upward and to the right from them, plus two poles each with two landing stations on them. The forward cannon on the top side of the ship is shooting forward to the right.
"PUBLISHED BY J. JAQUES & SON. LD." is shown at lower left.
"B.C.d." appears in the lower right, identifying the artist (B.C.), as noted by the abbreviation "d.", standing for "delineavit".
