"HOP-SCOTCH" is in red and "Tiddledy Winks" in white. The cover has a yellow background at top left and top right with offwhite between. The date 1891 is incorrectly printed with a backwards 9 on the cover. The felt mat has a dental design on its red borders, plus the numbers on the felt mat do not have extra curly tops. The rules sheet has 1 side. The yellow underbox has a fleur de lis design.

At left at a table with decorative red tablecloth and hop-scotch mat on top are 5 adults: 1 man at left with mustache, seated; 1 women facing away with red top, seated, 1 man standing with mustache, 1 woman sitting with blue dress, and 1 woman looking straight ahead to right of table. At right, on the floor, are 3 children playing at hop scotch mat: 1 boy in blue clothes and frilly neck, 1 girl in blue clothes and frilly neck, and 1 girl in red clothes with frilly neck. "COPYRIGHTED 1891" at lower right [the "9" is backwards and may appear to be an "8"]. At center bottom: "Published by PARKER BROTHERS, SALEM, MASS." in red on white rectangle.

Cylindrical natural wooden cup with top (2 5/8" diameter, 1 5/8" tall). Off-yellow felt pad (8 5/8" x 16 3/4") marked "HOP SCOTCH" at top. Red border with dental-like pattern. Red circle at bottom for starting wink. Areas marked 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 in hop scotch layout. The numbers do not have extra curly tops.

Bone or ivory. Large (1"): 1 thin white, 1 white, 1 faded black. Small (5/8"): 4 white, 2 dark white, 5 grainy-bone white, 6 very pale green, 3 faded black, 6 mottled red, 3 thin red, 1 faded brown, 1 blue/green
