"RULES FOR PLAYING THE GAME OF OVER THE FENCE"
RULES FOR PLAYING THE GAME OF
OVER THE FENCE
PARKER BROS., Inc., Salem, Mass., New York and London
FOR TWO, THREE OR FOUR PLAYERS
Place the Fence in position in the slotted block.
The idea of the game is by pressing the small counters one at a time with the large one to make them jump the fence onto the numbered field beyond.
Play in turn from the felt starting square, each player snapping all five counters one at a time with the object of landing on the highest numbered spaces beyond. The play of these five counters constitutes his turn. His score is recorded and the turn passes to the next player.
All counters landing on the Felt side of the Fence or out of the Box, are out of the game, only those being counted that land fairly in the Field beyond the Fence.
The player making the highest count WINS THE GAME.
Each piece is counted for as many points as shown by the figure in which space it rests. A piece resting on a line counts as One Point.
