Label with a black outer border. At top, starting left-of-center, is "TIDDLEDY WINKS RING" (horizontally, each letter in yellow with black outline and thin white, thick black, thin white, and thin black shadow) with a background ranging from pinkish at left to light blue at right. Below the "G" on the right side is "GAME" (vertically, each letter in yellow with a black outline and a thin white shadow then thin black shadow, on a background ranging from light blue at top right to pinkish shortly below.
All along the left side are orange-pink, five-petal flowers on stems with green leaves, with a very short continuation along top-left.
An illustration of a yard scene of men and women playing as sport fills most of the cover in a rectangle with a black border. At left is a man (light-brown jacket, light brown/black cap, yellow/black knickers; long socks (black, orange, and light blue crosshatch at top, orange and light blue crosshatch at bottom)) holding a ring quoit in his right hand.
To his right is a woman(red/white striped blouse, very long skirt with light blue and yellow plaid) standing and holding a quoit with right arm outstretched. The man and she are standing on a tan path leading toward a target on the ground at right, where there are 5 quoits lying on the path and another one on a pin in the path.
Above the target several spectators are standing: a woman (very long pale orange/pink dress, red sash tie, holding a staff behind her back with both hands; a man (yellowish-brown jacket and hat, white shirt and trousers, black bowtie); another man (suit with diagonal stripes of black and orange-pink).
At the upper left of the illustration and also the top from center to right is greenery from trees.
Between the quoit throwers and the spectators, in the rear, are a number of people sitting and standing in the shade by a table on the green lawn. Behind them is a building with a large porch.
pale blue with some pale brown
offwhite, empty
The vertical target is a label attached inside the box bottom. At bottom a 2 1/4" diameter piece of green felt is attached to the game board. Around it is a concentric yellow circle, then think black circle, then purple circle, then thin black circle.
At top, a 5 1/2" diameter wooden target (3/16" thick) is attached. It has a label with multiple circular targets, each with a number (in black), yellow background, and black outline. From top down, roughly, the numbers are: 5, 1, 12, 11, 3, 8, 14, 9, 6, 10, 13, 7, 4, and 2. At the center of each circle is a metal spike 1/2" tall, onto which the ring quoits are to be shot. The bsackground of this target depicts 4-petal red flowers and curly light green stems
The rest of the game target contains an illustration of a parrot at upper left and another at upper right, plus 3 half-moon red and white flowers with leaves and stems growing from a base at the bottom by the green felt and circles.
The winks are made of bone in the shape of ring quoits, 1" in diameter with a 5/8" empty center.
It is not certain how many quoits winks originally came with the game, but one copy has 2 yellows and 1 white.
