Below is "Compendium" in silver, in script, with the end of the second "m" curving down and to the left, and then curving to the right and up, intersecting the upper curve.

Copy 1 includes:

A cardboard target for the game "Repeller" has 6 folding rectangular (4 9/16" wide by 6 1/4" high) sections, each of which has two 2" circular holes through which winks are to be shot. One side of the folding target has a repeating pattern of light blue, white, and gold. The other side has a repeating pattern of pink, purple, light blue, gold, and white.

A natural shiny finished turned wooden cup (1 7/8" top diameter, 1 15/16" bottom diameter, concave sides down to a 1 3/8" minimum diameter) has two black rings around the protruding base.

The round (5 1/2" top diameter, 5 15/16" bottom diameter, 3/4" tall) wooden target for the game "Table Quoits" has an unfinished bottom and shiny finished sides. A white round piece of paper is glued to the top of the target and has 3 concentric rings (in black). The outermost ring has 12 nails (about 9/16" tall) spaced equally around it; a number is marked adjacent to each nail (clockwise from top): 8, 5, 11, 6, 8, 5, 11, 6, 8, 5, 11, and 6. The next innermost ring has 9 nails with the following numbers: 7, 6, 5, 7, 6, 5, 7, 6, and 5. The innermost ring has 4 nails, marked 2, 2, 2, and 2. An additional nail is at the center of the target, which is marked 20, with "PATENT No." in a concave-down curve above it and "22446" in a concave-up curve below it.

Copy 1 includes the following quoits (may be vegetable ivory, 25/32" outer diameter, 9/16" inner diameter, 3/32" thick): 2 red and 2 offwhite.

The nearly square (3 7/8" by 3 3/4" and 1 1/8" tall) wooden target for the game "Match Tidleywinks" has four quadrants on the top, each with a cylindrical unfinished wooden hole (1 7/16" diameter) as a target for shooting winks. The top and sides are covered with a shiny wraparound label that has top quadrants in (clockwise) green, red, blue, and yellow around the wooden holes. Each of the four sides of the target show round winnks (green, red, yellow, and blue) on a gray background. The bottom of the target has an additional light green label with no markings.

The target for the game "Flippons" consists of 3 pieces of thick cardboard (7 5/8" long by 1 7/8" high), each with 5 "U" shaped "bridges" (5/16" wide and 1" high) through which metal balls are shot by pressing on them with counters. Each side of each piece has a repeating blue and white diamond pattern with an 8-pointed star inside each diamond. These 3 pieces are connected at the bottom using metal clasps (1" long by 1/2" high), and then the ends of the resulting connected piece are snapped into 2 wooden bases (1 1/2" by 1 7/16" by 3/4" tall) with a groove cut down the middle. Copy 1 includes spherical metal balls (5/8" diameter): 5 shiny red and 6 shiny golden.
