The cover has an outer red border, then white, then the main cover art, which has a blue background.

"LADDERWINKS" (in yellow) appears at upper left.

The game target fills most of the cover below the title. A blue cup is at the center of the target (with a wink marked with three dots in the cup), on a square elevated stand of blue (with a yellow line near the edge of the blue); a red border completes the elevated stand.

Outside the center stand and cup are "ladders" made of 2 sticks connected to each other and the center stand with round pieces marked "2" on the outer portions and "3" on the inner ones. Two round pieces connect each stick to the adjacent stick or center stand. There are 4 such ladders on the target.

At upper right, a hand is holding a red squidger on a white wink with 6 dots on it. A red wink with 1 white dot on it appears below "LADDERWINKS".

At bottom center: "MADE IN ENGLAND" over "COUNTERS FOREIGN" (all in black).

At bottom right, on the white border: "MANUFACTURED AT THE SPEAR WORKS, ENFIELD, ENGLAND."

Each of the 4 aprons has a red background color and has "LADDERWINKS" (yellow) at center, with two winks to the left (blue wink with 4 dots squopping a white wink with 3 dots) and another two to the right (a green wink with 2 white dots squopping a white wink with 6 dots)..

The cardboard game target has a shiny painted green wooden cup in a hole at the center of the target (with a wink marked with three dots in the cup), on a square elevated stand of blue (with a yellow line near the edge of the blue); a red border completes the elevated stand. (Note that the cover illustration has a blue cup instead of a green cup.)

Outside the center stand and cup are "ladders" made of 2 sticks (yellow on the outside, green on the inside) connected to each other and the center stand with round pieces marked "2" on the outer portions and "3" on the inner ones. Two round pieces connect each stick to the adjacent stick or center stand. There are 4 such ladders on the target.

This game includes quality plastic squidgers winks (no burrs):
