Cover Description

Wraparound label. The title, "BATTLING BOMBERS", appears at top in black with a red outline over a sky of offwhite clouds and light blue sky that covers much of the top half of the cover.

A fleet of 5 twin-engine aircraft appear in profile at upper left below the title, over a cloud.

To the right and also below in the foreground are a twin-engine gray bomber aircraft (Bristol Blenheim) close to the ground, with a light blue, white, and red target symbol on each wing and the side of the fusilage.

To the right, above, and to the rear of that foreground aircraft is a gray aircraft with red swastikas on each wing, with lines emanating forward from it. Below that in the rear is a black aircraft with a light blue swastika on each wing.

To the right of that and also in the foreground is another twin-engine aircraft with light blue, white, and red target symbols on each wing and a side of the fusilage. Directly above that aircraft, further back, is a black silhouette of a twin-engine aircraft, shooting with lines emanating at the black Nazi aircraft.

To its right in rear is a black silhouette of a twin-engineer aircraft, with lines emanating to right to shoot another Nazi single propellor aircraft with white swastikas on each wing.

At lower left on the cover is a light blue circle surrounded by a red ring. Inside the circle is "A GAME OF SKILL for TWO THREE OR FOUR PLAYERS" in red. Below the circle is "B.G.L. LONDON".

To right at the bottom of the screen is "PILOT YOUR PLANES TO THE ENEMY'S CAPITAL".

At bottom right is "Made in England".

Winks

A variety of winks of various colors is included.

Tiddlywinks Felt ·
The game includes a square green felt playing surface that measures 28" square. Black lines are marked on each diagonal, thereby partitioning the surface into 4 triangular quadrants, "NORTHLAND", "EASTLAND", "SOUTHLAND", and "WESTLAND". A red square is drawn about 5 1/2" inches in each direction from the center. Inside that red square in each quadrant is the corresponding area's front, e.g., "NORTHLAND FRONT". Three sides of a black rectangle are drawn at the outer edge of each quadrant, inside of which is drawn a smaller set of three sides of a red rectangle, representing an aircraft hangar. Each quadrant's corresponding section is labeled, e.g., "N HANGER" (misspelled, should be "HANGAR". Between the front and hangar in each quadrant is a black circle which is marked in black as "SUBURBS", and a smaller inner red circle. Each quadrant's corresponding red circle is labeled, e.g., "N CAPITAL" in red.
