The cover label has an offwhite/yellow outer border, then a medium blue border, then a thin offwhite border, then a green/blue border, then a yellow background inside.

Each corner has a blue/green filigree.

The letters of "LA PUCE" each appear on a circle representing a wink: "L" (black) on red wink, "A" (medium blue) on white wink, "P" (black) on medium blue wink, "U" (black) on red wink, "C" (medium blue) on white wink, "E" (black) on teal wink.

The "E" wink is shown entering the reddish-brown cup, which has concave sides and a double rim at bottom. "NOUVEAU" above "JEU" above "DE" above "SOCIETE" appears in medium blue on the side of the cup.

The publisher's name appears between "LA" and the cup: "AU" (medium blue) above "PARADIS" (red with medium blue outline), above "DES" (medium blue), above "ENFANTS" (red with medium blue outline) above "156" above "Rue de Rivoli" (both in medium blue), above "PARIS" (red with medium blue outline).

Very small text appears at bottom right. Most of it is not discernable; howver, it ends with "PARIS".
