Red background, with cover text in gold. A golden frame appears around all text but the "MARCHANT GAMES, LOUGHTON, ESSEX", though the "T" and "S" in "TIDDLYWINKS" interrupts the frame at left and right.

Red with no design.

Red compression-molded cup, 2" in diameter at top, 1 3/8" in diameter at bottom, with slightly concave sides, and 1 1/2" tall.

1 squidger (1 3/8" in diameter, 1/8" thick), 2 large winks (7/8" in diameter, around 1/16" thick), and 4 small winks (5/8" in diameter, about 1/16" thick) are provided in each of the following colors: pale green (called "Cambridge blue"), green, red, and yellow. (Copy 1 is missing 1 pale green.)

Copy 1 came with a letter from "MARCHANT GAMES LIMITED" to "Mr. Robert Jay Glowitz", "5607 Jonquil Avenue", "Baltimore 15, Maryland", dated 4th February 1963, a receipt for purchase of "1 only complete Set Matchplay Tiddlywinks E.T.W.A." for 5 shillings 0 pence, plus postage of 1 shilling 6 pence, for a total of 6 shillings 6 pence. "Cash One Dollar Received" "This Leaves Nine Cents to your credit". "Sorry for the delay in executing your order. We had a major fire here which destroyed everything and we have only just got going again.".
