The wooden mushroom container has a shiny dark red-painted finish and has vertical sides. "Knips" is in blue on the top with a white outline. The game originally came with 4 winks and 1 squidger each of 4 colors.

The top is a shiny dark red-painted cap of a wooden mushroom container.

A gold-colored filled circle covers about half the width of the top, centered. "Knips" above "Spiel" (in a medium color with a white shadow up and to the left) over the circle, with the "K extending into the red painted top background.

Below: "Spear-Spiel" (in a medium blue color) is in a white-filled oval.

The sides of the mushroom container are vertical and straight and painted a shiny dark red.

Squidgers (7/8" diameter): 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 dull medium blue, 1 green.

Winks (5/8" diameter): 4 red (opaque), 1 red (translucent), 6 yellow (matching squidger yellow), 1 yellow (brighter), 4 dull medium blue, 1 darker blue, 1 green (matching squidger green), 4 dark green, 1 white.

Wink (11/16" diameter): 1 grayish light green.

Copy 1 also comes with numerous paper circles with a dot marked in the center of each side.
