The underlabel on the cover is red and is the main label on the aprons. The top label has gray/offwhite border, then a black line inside, the red border.

The game comes with a deck of 52 cards, consisting of 13 cards in each ofo 4 suits. Each card depicts an author (e.g., "Robert Frost") with the name of a work at top (e.g., "Mountain Interval"), the author's signature, when and where the author was born, and a card number (e.g., "2"). The card backs depict a woman (gray top, white collar, short black dress, brown hair) sitting in a red/black/gray flower-patterned chair, reading a book, with a tall floor lamp casting light on the book. Other authors include Edna Ferber.
