The cover has a small label (4 1/4" wide by 2 7/8" high) with a yellow background. The outer border is yellow, then a black line.

Four anthropomorphic winks are shown on the cover, with arms and legs. A blue one is on its back at lower left, upon a light blue plain wink with a yellow and different plain blue winks behind.

A silver-colored cup with a much wider top opening than bottom, and with an extended stand at bottom, has a light blue anthropomorphic wink diving in at left, a yellow one about to enter the cup to its right, and an orange one in the air to the upper right of the cup. At below right are three plain winks: an orange, yellow, and the different blue color.

"JEU" above "DE" (in background yellow with black outlines) appears at upper left on the label. "LA" appears over the left middle part of the silver cup, with "PUCE" in larger text to its right, the "P" over the middle of the silver cup, the "U" over the right edge of the cup, and "CE" over the plain winks at lower right.

"JB" appears at left-center at the bottom, between the left winks and the bottom of the silver cup.

The cover and top and bottom aprons have a repeating diagonal crosshatch pattern with a "+" sign at intersections and dots between cells. The background color has faded to be a pale orange but was originally red, as shown at the top of the box bottom's aprons that have been covered by the box top's aprons.
