The cover has a red background with an outer white then black outline.

At the center of the cover in a white circle with a black outline is the word "THE" in blue, which is above "HUNTING" in black with a red outline, above "GAME" in blue, then two horizontal red lines, then "No. 52" in blue, and then "ROSEBUD ART CO., N. Y.".

Outside the white center circle are 16 radiating segments from that inner circle to the cover border, alternating with either a blue or red background. Each of these 16 segments has an illustration of an animal, including a raccoon, moose, wolf, rhinoceros, leopard, giraffe, camel, lion, elephant, deer, and others.
