Label with wide outer border. The cover depicts a locomotive with 11 men shoveling snow around its sides and front.
The locomotive has a dark blue body (that ranges in shades to white, reflecting the sky); a red cowcatcher in front; "A [?] 75" in a circle at the center of the front; a round red vertical exhaust pipe near the front with a small amount of smoke emanating from it; a golden bell behind it; then a larger gold protruberance in front of the locomotive cabin (in shades of brown); red spokes on black wheels (two on the right side). A pale green car is behind the locomotive, and a pink passenger train car behind it.
Snow fills the foreground and right, and snowflakes are falling across the entire image including the train cars. The sky appears at top, above the train cars and a thin set of trees at upper right.
Each of the 11 men is holding a snow shovel. From left to right, they are wearing: blue coat and cap with red gloves; pink coat, light blue gloves, and light blue/brown cap; blue coat, pants, and cap, with red gloves; tan coat, blue pants, red cap, and no gloves; darker blue long coat with red cap and gloves; red/white checkered coat, blue pant, blue hat, and no gloves; tan coat, light red pants, blue hat, and one red glove; brown coat, pants, and cap, with a pip; blue coat, brown pants and cat, with purplish gloves; brown coat, light blue pants and cap, pipe, and red gloves; and brown coat, pants, cap and gloves.
The top left and right corners of the cover above the main image show a filigree with a small lattice, all in gold. The lower left corner has a larger filigree in gold and pink, with a lattice in red with golden squares inside them, with a golden dot inside each square. The lower right corner has an even larger filigree in gold and pink, with a red lattice over a mostly green background with a round yellow area at right. Over this lattice is a golden lamp with a spherical center in red with black longitudinal lines and a line around its center. To the left of the golden/red lamp are two bags, one at least with an oval bottom; the tops, bottoms, and rings around the sides are brown with black dots, and light blue stripes appear vertically with white between them.
The game title appears at top, with "GAME" above "OF" (in gold with partial white lower right shadow and black lower right shadow) at upper left, then "MAIL, EXPRESS," in large red mostly sans serif letters (each with a black border, a gray lower right shadow, a partial white lower right shadow, and then another black order). Below and to the right is "OR" above "ACCOMMODATION." (in golden with a thin black border, a white lower right shadow, then a thicker black lower right border).
At lower left, about 6" from the left side, on the snow background, "COPYRIGHTED 1895 BY" over "McLOUGHLIN BROS. NEW YORK." is shown (in black sans serif letters).

The game board label is affixed inside the box bottom, measuring 22" wide by 14 1/2" high. The label depicts a map of the continental United States with a large number rail and sea routes shown in red and with red dots along each route, which are used as steps for moving the players' movers.
The metal movers (2" wide, 1" tall, 1/16" wide with a 3/8" base stand) are in the shape of locomotive cars, and are provided in deep purple, dark green, pinkish red, and golden yellow.
Two dark natural wooden dice cups (7/8" diameter, 2 1/4" tall) are provided, and presumably dice were included.
Included is a set of cards (white with printing on one side only, measuring 3" wide by 2" high), each of which lists a quantity of a product (e.g., "300 Bbls. Apples") and its value, (e.g., "Value, $885") with two United States states where the product is furnished along with the names of three cities for each state.
