The game target board is attached inside the box bottom, and resembles a basketball court. On each end of the court a metal and wooden hoop is attached to the playing surface, in the "GOAL" (marked in black) area. The base of the hoop has a red wooden base (1 1/4" diameter base, 1 1/16" high that has a line around the circumference about 40% up from the bottom, it is slightly convex below that line and concave above that line). The top of the red wooden base is about 1/8" high and has a hole at the top into which the metal hoop is attached.

Each metal hoop (1 5/8" in diameter, about 1/8" thick) has a short metal connector that inserts into the red wooden, mostly pyramidal base that is attached to the game board.

Two nets are included with the game that are not attached to the inside box bottom or elsewhere. Each has a wooden base measuring 10 1/8" long and 3/4" wide, with the side being 3/8" inch high on either side and 1/2" high at center. The nets are made of offwhite cloth with about a 1/8" mesh; each cloth is looped over two dowels that are 5 1/2" tall and 1/4" in diameter that are attached to the wooden bases at each end, 1/2" from each end. The nets are intended to be placed at either end behind the hoop, acting as backboards.

The inside box bottom court has a brown wood-style pattern throughout. At one end it is marked as "McLoughlin Bros BASKET BALL. Game". The inside box bottom game target has a red rectangular border inside the "McLoughlin Bros" marking, and inside that, a similar brown wood-style pattern, and inside that, another red rectangular border.

At around 5 3/4" inch from each end is a "FOUL LINE" (printed in black, which is behind two parallel lines that are red, with the outer line having a small loop at center.

The center of the game board has a red circle within which a piece of red felt (2 3/8" in diameter) is attached.

The game comes with squidgers and winks made of bone with striations. The squidgers are extra large (1 1/8"): 1 white, 1 yellow. The winks are small (3/4):" 1 white, 1 yellow.
