Rules for the game
of "The North Pole."
- The map is to be placed
on the centre of the table, which
should have a cloth or tablecover on.
- The players, of which theree may be
any number, to sit round at equal distances
from the north pole and, having shared the
counteres between them, must endeavour to jump
the counters on to the map by pressing the edge
of the smaller ones by means of one of the larger.
- Players to keep turns and must not touch their opponent's
counters.
- Any counter reaching the north pole wins the game (1000)
an d others count according to the degrees of latitute reached as
marked on the map.

The top cover label is an equilateral triangle with a white outer border, then a black line frame, then yellow, then a black background.
A yellow decorative design is shown from the top apex down parallel along the left and right edges of the equilateral triangle, then curving near the bottom with a serrated curve slightly above. Varous other yellow partial circles and other devices also appear.
"THE" (red with white outline, on a nonlinear baseline) appears near the top over a yellow circle.
"NORTH POLE" (red with white outline, on a nonlinear baseline) appears along the bottom over the black background and yellow curve.
The main illustration appears within a circle (black line outline) in the center of the cover top label. White ice appears along the top curve of the circle, with "A NEW GAME" (yellow with black outline) appearing in a curve below on a blue sky background. A white polar bear appears on a large block of ice, looking to the right. Behind is a pale blue sea, and then icebergs at left and right rear background. A ship appears at right rear.
"Designed in England" (blue) appears at lower left on the white border, then "J. W. S. & S." at center bottom, and "Manufactured in Bavaria" at lower right.
