Cover Description

Wraparound label with a yellow background. The title appears at top on a brown banner with jagged side edges, "WESTERN" (red with black left/down shadows and white up/right shadows) above "DOUBLE FEATURE GAME BOX" (in white)

The remaining cover text (except for ages and number of players) appears in 3 separate, smaller brown banners with jagged sides. All banners are attached via two rings to each other.

Shown at lower right is a large brown horse ridden by a cowboy (red shirt, brown cowboy hat, blue pants) shooting a pistol into the air with his right hand, with a "U.S. MAIL" pouch attached to the saddle. The cowboy is looking backwards.

At lower left is "AGES UP TO 12" above "2 to 4 PLAYERS" in red.

Contents

The bifold game target board measures 10 1/8" wide by 14" high, unfolded.

One side is entitled, "PONY EXPRESS" and provides a brief history of it at top. The directions are in the lower right corner. There are separate race paths on each side, starting in the top corners at the "WEST START" at "SACRAMENTO CALIFORNIA", and the "EAST START" at "ST. JOSEPH MISSOURI". Both meet at the same "SALT LAKE CITY UTAH" at bottom, after which players then go back to their home station.

The target board is dominated by an illustration of large brown horse and a cowboy (red shirt, brown cowboy hat, blue pants) shooting a pistol into the air with his right hand, with a "U.S. MAIL" pouch attached to the saddle.

He is looking back at an American Indian (white and red headdress) in the distance at left, riding a white horse and brandishing a brown spear in his right hand.

The other side of the target board is entitled "Six Shooter TIDDLY WINKS" at top in blue. There are six holes of various sized through the board, marked 20, 15, 10, 10, 5, and 5.

The directions are printed at bottom right, which also has "NO. 859-BL".

The board is filled with an illustration of a man (red shirt, brown vest, blue pants, pistol in a holster marked "TEXAS RANGERS") crouching at lower left, pointing a rifle at a man (green shirt, red bandanna over nose and mouth, brown cowboy hat, on a fawn-colored horse) at upper right.
