Version 1 has the Glevum Games Roman helmet logo on the cover and target. On the over, "TIDLEY" appears above "WINKS" (each letter in yellow with black outline on a wink of varying colors) above a red pot with many winks surrounding it on a pale blue background.

The wraparound label has an overall light yellow cast and a light yellow outer border with a black outline inside, then a light blue background with yellow "fireworks" emanating from the center.

"TIDLEY" appears at top above "WINKS" (white rounded letters with black outlines), with each letter a colored wink: T on red, I on blue, D on yellow, L on green, E on blue, Y on red, W on green, I on blue, N on red, K on yellow, S on green. A profile of a red cup with protruding base appears at bottom center. Winks are flying around along with gray/yellow streaks away from cup.

The rectangular cardboard built-up target in the box bottom has a 1 9/16" hole at center for a cup. Radiating from center are sectors of different colors, each with a value (white with black outline), in counterclockwise order: 1 on yellow, 4 on blue, 6 on purple, 2 on red, 3 on black, and 5 on green. "MADE IN ENGLAND" and "GLEVUM GAMES" Roman helmet "TRADE MARK" logo are in black in the sector marked 1.

The pot included in Copy 1 does not match hole size nor height of game. It is a green plastic cup (3/4" bottom diameter, 1" top diameter, 2" tall) with concave sides.

Copy 1 includes:

Large winks (15/16"): 1 pale yellow, 1 red, 1 offwhite, 1 orange.

Medium winks (13/16"): 1 red.

Medium winks (3/4"): 3 red, 1 offwhite, 3 pink with a hole near edge (marked 15, 27, and 42 on one side).

Small winks (5/8"): 5 red, 1 white.

Very small winks (9/16"): 1 purple, 1 red, 1 orange, 1 yellow, 1 broken yellow.
