MOONSHOT
for 2 – 4 players
Moonshot is played by 'flipping' the small counters into the Moon craters in a manner similar to Tiddlywinks.
The craters are marked with scores in miles. The winner is the first player to land in enough craters to score the distance to the Moon (240,000 miles).
RULES
1. Place the box containing the 'Moon craters' in the centre of a table, preferably covered with a tablecloth. Place the cork mat a short distance from the box and flip the counters from the mat into the box.
2. Each player 'flips' 4 small counters into the box, taking it in turn to 'flip' one counter at a time.
3. When all have landed in the box the round is complete and the score is taken. Keep the score on paper and continue to the next round. When one player reaches a score of 240,000 miles — he is declared the winner. 7
4. A counter that is upon the surface of the 'Moon' but NOT in a crater shall score 10,000 miles.
Counters around the edge of the 'Moon' against the sides of the box do NOT score. Where a counter is near the edge of the box it will score ONLY if it is fully inside the printed circle.
5. When a player 'flips' a counter and it does not go into the box it may be 'flipped' again until it does go into the box.
6. The box must not be touched during a round and is emptied between rounds.
7. A counter that is knocked out of a crater by another player's counter wifi score where it rests at the end of the round. Each round should be started by a different player.
8. The counters are 'flipped' or made to jump by pressing the edge of the small counter with a large one. This greatly helped by playing on a soft surface e.g. A tablecloth, or on the cork mat provided.
9. Each player has 4 small counters of his own colour. The other counters are spares.
