Cover depicts 3 mountain climbers, two at upper right pulling up one at lower left. Climber being pulled is holding an ice pick; picks for other two climbers are in the snow/ice. Backdrop is snowy/icy white mountains.

Bifold cardboard game board (12 1/2 (bent into two 6 1/4" sides) by 11 1/4" tall) fits in box bottom, jutting up. Outer border is green, then black line border, then tan background for mountain and yellow/orange background at top for sky. One side of board has "START" at lower left, "Over The Alps." at lower right, and depicts a race game up to a mountain top. On that side of the board there are positions marked from 1 (at lower left) to 50 (at top), all but number 1 having holes in board. Other side of board has positions marked from 51 (at top) to 100 (at lower right), with holes at all positions except for number 100.

Human-figured playing pieces (painted metal, 3/4" wide by 1 1/4" tall): 1 with blue pants, 1 with red pants, 1 with green pants. Each has a a hook in a shepherd's crook (cane) that is used to place the piece in a hole on the game board.

1 wooden die (dark brown with white spots, 1/2" on each side).
