The cover has a paper label with an offwhite background. At top left is "Invented by A.N.". At top right is "Pubd. by G.W & Co. London.". At bottom left is "Regd No. 172872. At bottom right is "Ent. Stat. Hall.". At center bottom is "MADE IN ENGLAND".

The game title is across the center, with "The New Game of" in black with fancier initial letters, and each word is at around a 40 degree angle. Below that, each of the letters of "COLORITO" is in a circle with a black border and various fill colors; from left to right: "C" on blue, "O" on white, "L" on yellow, "O" on brown, "R" on blue, "I" on white, "T" on yellow, and "O" on brown.

The implements box has 40 white glass round discs, each 7/8" in diameter and 3/8" thick.
Each is marked on top with a colored number with the top border also in that color. The yellow discs are marked from 1 to 10; the red/pink ones also from 1 to 10; the blue ones from 11 to 20; and the brown ones from 11 to 20.

The bi-fold game board is marked on the back with "Colorito" in silver cursive text at an angle, with "REG. No. 172872. below it. The open game board measures 13 1/2" by 14". The back is a dull dark red.

The game board has two sides: "LEFT HAND BASE." and "RIGHT HAND BASE." It is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND. It consists of a 10 by 10 array of octagons. The row rows by each base have white backgrounds and are marked with numbers; the first row of each is marked from 1 to 10, and the second row of each 11 to 20. The remaining octagons are not marked, but are colored. From the right hand base side, the first column is colored light blue, yellow, light blue, yellow, light blue, and then yellow; as are the 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th columns. From the same side, the 2nd column is colored pink, brown, pink, brown, pink, and then brown; as are the 4th, 6th, 8th, and 10th columns.

The remainder of the game board is offwhite.
