Directions for Playing

For either 2 or 4 players

Each player takes a corner or yard, and selecting a set of men, places these on the thirteen squares within the heavy black line in his corner. The object of the game is for each player to get his men in the yard diagonally opposite before his opponent does the same. In playing one can move a man one space in any direction – forwards, backwards, sideways or diagonally, or he can jump either his own men or his opponents in any direction. It must be understood that no men are to be removed from the board, and that moves and jumps can be made only to unoccupied spaces. Each player is entitled to only one move at a time—the players moving in turn, the one moving first being selected in any way desired.
