Directions for Playing
Lotto
May be played by from two to six persons. Cut the game apart at dotted lines, being careful not to cut anywhere else. The cards and black squares are divided equally among the players; the red numbered squares are placed in a box or cup. Select a leader (a person not playing) to conduct the game. Each player lays his cards in front of him, face upward.
The leader begins the game by putting his hand in the box or cup, and drawing out a numbered piece. As he calls aloud the number of this, each player covers with a black square all of the spaces on his cards that have numbers corresponding to the one called by the leader.
Then the leader draws another number and the players do as before. The game continues in this manner until one of the players succeeds in covering all the numbers in two rows on any one of his cards, when he calls “Lotto,” and wins the game.
The dotted lines create cards that are three rows high by six squares across on each row. Every row has one blank free square, so it would take five numbers to fill a row.
