Protecting The Harbor
An Enjoyable Game for 2 Players
Directions: Cut this sheet in two at the dotted line. Then cut out the red and black discs, which represent the torpedo boat and warship, and play according to the rules printed on the other side.
Directions For Playing
This game is best adapted for two players. One player takes the black counter, which represents a warship with electric searchlight defending a harbor. The other player has the red counter which represents a torpedo boat attempting to run the blockade and enter the harbor. In beginning, the black counter is placed upon the space occupied by picture of warship and can move in any direction one space at a time over the two rows of spaces next to the harbor. The red counter is placed upon any space desired on the row at the opposite end of the board from the harbor, and can move in any direction. The players alternate in their moves, the torpedo boat trying to escape the rays of the searchlight of the battleship represented by the red lines, and to enter the harbor. The battleship trys to prevent this. When the torpedo boat occupies a space from which a red line extends to the black counter it is captured. All red lines are safe until the black counter occupies a space from which a red line starts.
When either player wins they change ships, and the best two out of three wins.
