Cover Description

The cover label has a thin yellowish outer border, then a black border inside.

The background at top is a muted blue interspersed with green. The background at bottom is similar, but a bit darker and greener, depicting a meadow.

The title, |"ASCOT"| (in red with black outline and small shadow) appears at upper left.

Below is an illustration of a man (brown suit, dark hat) at left, in front of a fence, standing and holding a long stick with a yellow flag which is resting on the ground.

To the right are three horses with jockeys on them. The leftmost horse (black) has a jockey (white pants, blue/white horizontal striped shirt, red cap). The closest horse to its right is a lighter medium brown with a jockey (light pants, blue shirt, bllue cap). The next closest horse to the right is a darker medium brown with a jockey (red shirt, red cap).

The game has a crank (white rounded wood on a brass handle) on the left side of the box that attaches to a brass rod that goes through the inside of the box and fits into a receptor brass plate on the inside right portion of the box bottom.

The crank is used to rotate the brass rod onto which blue strings are attached. The blue strings exit the box through small white holes on the lower apron of the box.

Each blue string is attached to one of the metal horses with jockeys. One horse is brown with a jockey wearing white pants, a black shirt, and yellow cap. Another horse is black with a jockey wearing white pants, a red shirt, and a red cap. Another horse is black with a jockey wearing white pants, a shirt that is white except for red sleeves, and a red cap. The remaining horse is white, with a jockey wearing white pants, black shirt, and black cap.

A rectangular piece of wood, measuring 6 5/16" by 2 3/4" by 3/16" thick, with a green felt base has a black wooden handle at center, and a black painted backside.
