The inner portion of the game board has 11 by 11 squares except each corner has a decorative triangle. On the edge of each side are 17 squares in two rows (9 in the outer row and 8 in the second row). These sets of 17 squares serve as starting positions for game pieces, and are a dull blue on one side, and yellow, red, and pink on the other sides. At the center, inside these starting positions, is a 7 by 7 set of squares that are dull green in color. Each square has a number on it from 1 to 9, except the one at center that is marked "MOCKO" with decorative highlights in the corners. The squares marked 7 have circles and decorative designs in the corner.

The outer edge of the game board had "DOCKO" in black on a dull blue ribbon in the middle of each side. On the right of each side are three circles inside a rounded rectangle, marked 1 (white circle), 5 (red circle), and 10 (blue circle). At the left of each side are two circles inside a rounded rectangle, marked "Capture"; the circle colors on opposite sides are either red and blue or yellow and white.

Each corner of the game board has the letter "D" (in black). Underneath these outer edge markings is a clipped square border of dull green, red with small black triangles, and yellow.
