The cardboard game board measures 19 3/8" square and 1/16" thick. It has three folds and folds in half vertically and then horizontally. The outside border is white, then black. A large black circle serves to define various regions on the board. The board depicts scenes in Africa.
In the lower right corner, the title, "Maggi's Abenteuerspiel", appears in red on a curved rectangle at a 45 degree angle. Below is a circle with a Caucasian adventurer (white hat, brown pipe) and another circle with an African native (red lips, brown knob through nose) holding a spear.
In the upper right corner, two cubs, a lion, and a lionness are sitting at a table with dishes and a steaming pot of food. The illustration is shown at a 45 degree angle radially from the board center.
In the upper left corner is a familty of African natives inside a dark room with a rounded open exit. A boy is crouching at left, a child is clutching his mother's back, the father is holding a red cylindrical cup with yellow markings, and a child at right is leaning on his back. Their lips are red. The first boy and mother are wearing yellow bands on arms; the father is wearing orange bands on arms and orange earrings. At right are three spears. The illustration is shown at a 45 degree angle radially from the board center.
At lower right is a family of elephants, with a larger one (yellow tusks) at left, a smaller one (short, white tusks) with its trunk in a green bowl of orange soup, and a larger one yellow tusks) at right, shaking an orange/yellow cylindrical container to drop orange/black cubes into the green bowl.
A waterway runs from left to right in the middle and forms a circular ring at center. Inside the circular water ring is an island (black border, pink background) with an elephant, vulture, camel and cactus, 2 pigs, a curled snake, an alligator, a gazelle, two birds, a lionness, and a lamb around the edges of the circle. Inside is a table in the shape of a ring with one open area. Both the Caucasian adventurers and African natives and sitting inside the ring, eating. At pole at the center has a yellow banner with "MAGGIs" in red.
The remainder of the game board has a background that has greenery in some areas and yellow/pink desert areas.
Along the bottom inside of the circle are 5 yellow thatched huts with African natives around them.
Four scenes are shown inside red circles at the bottom above the thatched huts. The first one shows an African native in a hole in the ground. The second one shows a snake (black, yellow, red) coiled on a tree branch. The third shows a Caucasian adventurer (white hat, white shirt, brown tie) with red/yellow flowers at top. The fourth depicts a Caucasian fleeing from huge insects invading a picnic.
Along the top inside the circle are 3 white tents, with Caucasians around them.
Four scenes are shown inside red circles at the top below the white tents. The first one shows an African native inside huge leaves of a plant. The second shows two Caucasians suffering. The third shows a lionness and lion with a brown mountain peak behind. The fourth shows an African native, wearing spiking red short pants, climbing ins a jagged wooden tree.
"935" is shown in red in the lower left. "Deponeirt" ("Deposited") appears in the lower right.
Four plastic squidgers, measuring 1" in diameter and 1/16" thick, are provided in the following colors: blue, green, red, and yellow.
The cardboard winks, 7/8" in diameter and 1/16" thick, have an illustration on one side, and are dark gray on the back and sides.
The illustrations on the winks include: Caucasion adventurer with white hat (5), horse head (3), brown dog head (1), white dog head with brown and tongue out (2), Caucasian adventurer with beard and pipe (1), lion roaring (2), African native with large golden earrings (7), elephant (2), tiger (3), African woman with red flower in hair (1), African man with nob through nose and spear (1), and Caucasian girl with blonde hair (1). The original game may have included additional illustrations and quantities of winks.
