"Produced by" then red "BELL" bell logo, then "Toys & Games Ltd., London, England" is shown at upper left in black. Under "England" is an orange/red rocket. At the upper right, a yellow moon with purple crater outlines appears.
The title, "ROCKET TO THE MOON" (in red with dark brown left shadow) appears on a curve of another rocket's fiery trail. The rocket itself (red with white) is at upper right near the moon.
Another rocket (green and red) is shown below "ROC".
A yellow Saturn with a ring is shown below "THE".
Below "MOON" at right center, the following appears in yellow: "A" above "GAME FOR" about "TWO TO FOUR" above "PLAYERS". Below that, in white, is "AGES 5 TO 10".
Below that, the Disney dog, Pluto, is laying down on a square white box. Inside that box is a red ring with Mickey Mouse smiling at center, and "WALT DISNEY'S" at top and "Mickey Mouse" above "CLUB" above "GAME" below.
The main cover illustration appears in the left half of the cover. Mickey Mouse (wearing an astronaut's uniform and helmet, and yellow gloves) is holding a green bag marked "ASTRAL" above "MAPS" in yellow, with Donald Duck to the right, dressed as normal but carrying a helmet. Mickey and Donald are standing in front of a dark blue/white/dark green rocket ship with red "wings". The rocket ship has dark blue girders at left and right, almost as tall as the rocket ship, with a black ring connecting them around the rocket ship. Sitting on the black ring is a Disney character holding a red and white hammer, at left, and Goody (in green top, white pants) with paint can and brush. The rocket ship has two red rings near its top, and a lone pointy spine at top.
"© WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS LTD." is shown at lower left.
The game board and playing surface is included as the box-bottom build-up, measuring 13 5/8" by 13 3/4". This game starts as a race board game and then emplys tiddlywinks shots to complete the game at the end.
The game board shows a path of spaces that each player proceeds along, starting at "SPACE NO 1" in yellow near one corner of the board. Spaces with instructions or text on them have yellow backgrounds; the others have various colors: red, green, blue, and gray.
Provided is a spinner, measuring 6 1/4" square, with Mickey Mouse shown at center under the red spinning arrow. "WALT DISNEY'S" is above him, and "MICKEY MOUSE" over "CLUB" below, over a yellow circle at center. The spinner numbers are all in white on a colored background: 1 (light blue), 4 (orange), 5 (red), 3 (green), 6 (orange), 2 (light blue), and 5 (red). These numbers are all within a circular ring around the yellow center. Outside this ring is a black background, representing outer space, with 4 rockets shown along with Donald Duck, Pluto, unidentified Disney character, Pluto, and Mickey Mouse, all in spacesuits and wearing helmets.
Once a player reaches the space marked "ROCKET LAUNCHING PLATFORM", "LAUNCH SHIP AT ONCE", the player then shoots his wink toward the moon target in one of the corners. A long, white triangle leads from the launching point to the moon, which has a white and red rocket ship shown on it near the launching point, and another one closer to the moon. Midday is the marking: "EARTH HORIZON", "IF ROCKET SHIP DOES NOT GO BEYOND EARTH HORIZON TRY AGAIN".
A separate pink piece of thick paper, marked "ROCKET STOP" over "To be placed in the corner by the MOON" is provided that is bent in half and placed in the corner of the game board behind the moon, acting as a backstop for flying winks.
The moon is in a large yellow circle where it says, "INSIDE THE MOON SCORE 100", and "ON THIS LINE SCORE 75" if on the circumference. Surrounding the moon is another (partial) circle; "INSIDE THIS OUTER CIRCLE SCORES 50", and "IF YO LAND ON THIS LINE SCORE 25". There are 4 additional yellow circles in the sky with point values: 5, 10, 15, and 20.
Pointing to the moon along one edge of the game board is a yellow rockete with red tails, in which an unidentified Disney character, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Mickey Mouse are sitting with helmets on.
1 white plastic disc is provided to serve as the squidger, measuring 1 1/8" in diameter and 1/16" thick.
4 plastic winks are provided to be shot by the squidger, also measuring 1 1/8" in diameter and 1/16" thick, one each of bllue, green, red, and yellow.
