DIRECTIONS AND RULES FOR PLAY.
A game for two, three, or four players. Place the target flat in centre of the table. Each player takes one large and four small counters of the same colour. The players are seated round the table and the small counters arranged in a row before them. With the large counter, or flipper, they flip the small ones on to the target. Each one plays in turn. When one has got all his counters on the target, the game is stopped and the scores counted. Each counter soores the number of the ring it is on, the centre—fac[s]imile of a box of Calvert's Carbolic Tooth Powder—counting 8. If a counter is on the dividing line it scores the number of the ring on which is its larger portion. The winner may be the one who scores the highest number in one round, or a number may be arranged as the one to be reached before the game is completed.

The game target is printed in on the sheet provided as a premium. At center is a circle with a black border and then a golden outer ring, then a black border ring, golden border ring, and black border ring. Inside is a red ring; "F.C. CALVERT & Co." appears around the top of the red ring, and "CARBOLIC TOOTH POWDER" around the bottom of the red ring.
Inside the red ring is a black line border, then golden, then black, then a golden-filled central circle. Within the golden circle is a black circle and inside it is a "compass" with four arrows that are 90 degrees apart. Above the black circle the phrase "TRADE MARK" curves around the top.
Outside the central circle are three concentric rings, each of which has a numeric value below it and above it (upside-down). The first outside the center is white and is marked "6" (black); the next ring is black and marked "4" (white); and the outer ring is red and marked "2" (white).
The back of the game board has an advertisement for "CALVERT'S" above "Carbolic Tooth Powder".
