Ce jeu peut être joué par un nombre indeterminé de personnes. La planchette est placeé sur une table ou dans un endroit recouvert d’un tapis; les joueurs conviennent entre eux de la distance du but, de l’enjeu à mettre à la poule et des autres petits détails. Chacun se sert des anneaux de la couleur qu’il a choisie et essaie, en lançant ces anneaux, de cheviller les numéros les plue élevés. Le joueur qui aurait atteint, en additionnant ces numéros, le plus haut nombre, sera le gagnant et ramassera la poule.
Selon le gré des joueurs, on peut modifier cette règle et en créer de nouvelles, car ce jeu se prête à de nombreuses combinaisons.
L’on peut également jouer seul, comme à un jeu d’adresse, avec tous les anneaux et chercher à les cheviller tous, les uns après les autres.

NEW GAME OF SKILL
This game can be played by an indeterminate number of people. The board is placed on a table or in a place covered with a rug; the players agree on the distance of the goal, the stakes to be played and other small details. Each one uses the rings of the color he has chosen and tries, by throwing these rings, to peg the highest numbers. The player who has reached the highest number by adding up these numbers will be the winner and pick up the pool.
Depending on the player's preference, this rule can be changed and new rules can be created, as this game is suitable for many combinations.
You can also play alone, like a game of skill, with all the rings and try to pin them all, one after the other.

The natural wooden game target (4 3/4" in diameter at bottom, 4 1/4" in diameter at top, 3/8" high) is shiny on the top and sides, and not shiny underneath. 13 metal pins with pinheads are attached vertically on top of the target, each sticking up 7/8". The center one is marked "13" on the wood below the pin. From rear to front, pins are aligned across the target as follows: "7" and 10"; "3", "11", "8", and "1"; "13" in the center; "6", "4", "5", and "12"; and "2" and "9". Each number is in a stencil font. (And note that the target illustrated on the cover has 14 numbered pins rather than 13 on the actual target.)
One copy of the game included the following quoits (1 1/8" outer diameter, 7/8" inner diameter, and aroun 1/16" thick): red, purple, offwhite, orange, and yellow.
Based on a translation of the rules, this is a ring toss game, not a tiddlywinks game, though the contents resemble other games that are tiddlywinks games.
